What is the Subclass 820 Visa?

The Australia Subclass 820 Partner Visa is a temporary onshore visa for individuals who are married to or in a de facto relationship with an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. Applicants must be inside Australia at the time of application. This visa is the first stage toward obtaining the permanent Subclass 801 Partner Visa and allows applicants to live, work, and study in Australia during processing.
