What is the Business Visitor Visa (BVV) Visa?
The New Zealand Business Visitor Visa allows you to visit New Zealand for legitimate short-term business activities for up to 3 months. Acceptable business reasons include attending meetings, conferences, negotiations, training, exploring investment opportunities, and liaising with clients or partners. You cannot be employed by or receive payment from a New Zealand business on this visa. While in New Zealand, you may work remotely for your employer or clients based outside New Zealand.
Who is Eligible?

Hold a valid passport with at least 3 months validity beyond intended departure from New Zealand.

Be visiting for an acceptable business reason (meetings, conferences, negotiations, trade or investment discussions).

Have sufficient funds to support yourself for the duration of the visit.

Not intend to work for a NZ employer or receive payment from a NZ source (except for the specific approved business activity).

Hold a confirmed return or onward flight ticket.

Be in good health and meet character requirements.

Demonstrate genuine business ties to India and intent to return after the visit.
Step-by-Step Application Process

Confirm Business Purpose
Confirm at immigration.govt.nz that your business purpose qualifies. Ensure you are not carrying out work that would require a work visa.

Gather Documents
Collect required documents: passport, business invitation letter, proof of your business or employer in India, evidence of sufficient funds, and your itinerary.

Apply Online
Apply through Immigration Online at apply.immigration.govt.nz or at a VFS Global VAC in India.

Upload Documents & Pay Fees
Upload all required documents and pay the required fees online.

Await Decision & Receive eVisa
INZ will process your application and email you their decision. If approved, you receive an eVisa to present at the NZ border.

Formal business invitation letter from the NZ company or organisation (on letterhead, stating purpose, dates and location)

Proof of accommodation in New Zealand (hotel booking or host's invitation)
Passport-sized photographs
Travel itinerary detailing business activities in New Zealand
