What is the Exchange Student Visa (ESV) Visa?

The Exchange Student Visa is for Indian students accepted into an approved New Zealand Government student exchange scheme, including school-to-school (sister school) exchanges, exchange programme organisation schemes, and tertiary exchanges. Exchange students typically do not pay full tuition fees as the NZ Government partially or fully subsidises costs under approved schemes. Note: Study Abroad programmes do not qualify — those students must apply for a Fee-Paying Student Visa.
